Apple iPad Jailbreak, Sales Totals, and Is the Apple iPad Tablet Sold Out?

April 5th, 2010

Apple iPad Jailbreak, Sales Totals, and Is the Apple iPad Tablet Sold Out? It’s only really been two days since the Apple iPad tablet was out. Stores were closed on Easter across most of the US, so Saturday and today were the only days that consumers could purchase a product in stores.

The sales totals for the iPad are rolling in, and have been reported to be higher than expected.  Some reports estimated sales of 200,000-300,000 units, and then now indications are that the sales are more like 600,000 to 700,000 units.

Many people like to “jailbreak” their iPhones, and already the process has begun on the iPad.  So what is a “jailbreak”? Well, it’s how some people get around Apple’s built in security features in order to download software that isn’t approved by Apple.  If you plan on keeping the warranty of your iPad intact, we don’t suggest you try jailbreaking it.

Many are shocked that it took less than two days to jailbreak the iPad.  Here’s the YouTube video proof that it occurred.

Is the iPad tablet sold out? No. The iPad isn’t sold out – at least not yet. Those that pre-ordered their units and did not get them on April 3 will get them by April 12.  There may be some stores across the country that do not have the iPad or the particular iPad that you are looking for – but there are some to be had.

  1. Thanks for the update. I am looking for a Windows software that can crack the iOS 4.2.1. Please let me know if there are any updates on its release. Thanks
