iPad a Disappointment? iPad 3g Available Later, No Cloud Music Capabilities.  The Apple iPad was met with a lot of anticipation, so it comes as no surprise that there are some that are disappointed.  There are two big groups of individuals that are a little disheartened after yesterday’s launch – those who wanted cloud music capabilities and those that wanted a 3g version.

Apple previously said that they wouldn’t have any 3G units available on the launch date, but there were still people that had their fingers crossed hoping for a surprise at the local retailer.  The 3g launch is pushed to the end of April, and there’s no concrete date indicated on the Apple Web site.

In addition, Products Reviews reports that the iPad is a disappointment to those who want cloud-based music.  What cloud based music does is allows music purchased to be stored on record label servers, allowing them to stream any time. This would remove the need for large storage at home.  The songs would still be saved on the device so that it would be accessible when internet connectivity is not.

CNET claims that the cloud based service will not be available until later this year.

Still yet, many consumers are very happy with their purchases.  Those that want to purchase a 3g version should head to their local store and try out the wifi version to ensure that it is the product for them.
