Verizon iPhone Release Date Rumors? Some rumors say that Verizon will have an iPhone in June, yet there could be production delays.   The newest reports indicate that there will be a Verizon iPhone  in SEPTEMBER.  Needless to say, there are a lot of rumors flying out of Cupertino, California as those who love all things Apple are chomping at the bits, salivating at all the new iPhone release rumors.

The biggest rumor is that an iPhone will **finally** become available on the Verizon network.  Verizon services 80 million subscribers plus, so adding the network would make a lot of sense for Apple. The reason that the popular handset isn’t available on networks such as Verizon and Sprint (other than an exclusivity deal with AT&T) is that these networks operate using CDMA technology.  AT&T and T-Mobile use SIM technology.

We’ve read a variety of rumors of when the Verizon iPhone will be released.  Some indicate that it will take place as early as June or July 2010, while other rumors state that the release will be closer to September of this year.  Still yet others claim that production snags will prohibit the release of the Verizon handset until next year.

Apple, AT&T, and Verizon officials have yet to comment on the rumors flying around.  AT&T did indicate that only Apple knows when the true release dates are, and that means that the only person that knows when the Verizon handset will hit the market is Steve Jobs.

There’s also speculation of a re-designed Apple iPhone HD and a new 4.0 operating system and a phone that handles 4g LTE speeds (although a 4g network doesn’t exist on AT&T -  yet).

Of course, iPhone and Verizon rumors have swirled in the past. This time, it makes sense for the company to expand their offering.  It’s already known that consumers flock to their handset and that it will continue to be successful – as long as Apple stays at the cutting edge of technology.

The buzz is mixed.  Some don’t quite understand the buzz  surrounding the iPhone.  Others won’t hand over their Blackberry in favor of an Apple handset.  Still others are happy with AT&T – and those that aren’t are excited to exit stage left and snap up their very own Verizon iPhone on the 2010 Release date, if possible.
