2010 Easter Egg Patterns, Crafts, and Recipes for Easter Sunday

April 1st, 2010

2010 Easter Egg Patterns, Crafts, and Recipes for Easter Sunday.  This Sunday the food product of the day will be EGGS.  Hard boiled and colored eggs are a popular favorite with many families.

Egg patterns go beyond boldy colored eggs and stretch to more ornate decorations.  These eggs are pleasing to the eyes and make people impressed.  You don’t have to be Picasso to design an egg pattern yourself.  Here are some hints:

1) Use masking tape and rubber bands to block off areas.  Then, dye your egg – remove the tape or rubber bands and then dye in another color as desired.  This will give you multi-colored designs.

2) After the eggs are hard boiled, use hot glue to glue on decorations to the egg.  Make bunny eggs using googly eyes and ears cut out of construction paper or felt.  Add a pom pom in the back for a little bunny tail.

3) Use paintbrushes to actually paint designs on your eggs.  This might be more fun for older children that like to do crafts.

In addition to decorating with eggs, many families will eat eggs on Easter.  Click here to read about how to hard boil eggs the right way to avoid that greenish look inside.

There are plenty of recipes for egg dishes such as quiche, casseroles, and Frittatas HERE.
