Apple iPad Tablet Apps, Price, Release Date and Video Excite. This Saturday there will be hundreds of thousands of very excited people in the world – April 3rd is the release date for the highly anticipated iPad tablet computer and we are here to tell you the hype isn’t dying down.

The iPad is affordable, starting at $499 for a 16 GB tablet with wi-fi internet connectivity. Given that many versions of the iPhone sell for much more than that, you can only imagine how excited everyone is about the development.

To drum up even more anticipation, Apple has posted videos on their Web site giving tours of their new product.

In addition, there are rumored to be some 150,000 apps ready for the iPads when they roll into the hands of anxious consumers. The apps are big business, and some of them are rumored to have double digit price tags.
