Healthcare Reform Bill Details Emerge as Health Care Reform Debate Continues

Healthcare Reform Bill Details Emerge as Health Care Reform Debate Continues. The New healthcare bill facts and health care reform bill text are of utter importance to many Americans trying to wrap their heads around the massive legislation that has just been passed.
Details of the health care bill were previously available, but as with anything – it changes. For instance, Bart Stupak of Michigan was a firm “no” in regards to the bill because he desired stronger anti-abortion wording in the text of the bill. At the last minute, he struck a deal with the President himself and switched over to a “yes” vote, much to the dismay of his followers and his state.
More on Stupak’s deal and a controversial comment can be found here.
The healthcare debate continues and will only grow in the coming weeks and months. As the mid-term elections approach, it will be a key issue particularly for Republicans looking to snatch seats from the Democrats.
In addition, many states are suing or vowing to sue the federal government over the constitutionality of the bill. The bill REQUIRES Americans to purchase health insurance, or else they will have to pay a fine. Small businesses HAVE to offer insurance to their employees, or else pay a fine per employee. Forcing Americans and American businesses to make these types of commitments is infringing on their constitutional rights, according to the states vowing to sue.
The bill won’t go into effect until 2014, although some of the taxes will start sooner. This could be how bill supporters manipulated the budget figures, taking into consideration 10 years of taxes for 6 years of benefits as a budget-saving device. We won’t really know the full extent until when (if) it goes into effect as planned.
