2010 NCAA Bracket Update and March Madness 2010 Tournament Upsets

March 21st, 2010

2010 NCAA Bracket Update and March Madness 2010 Tournament Upsets.  The March Madness tournament went through the first day of round two, and the day went by with a lot of amazing games, and some very shocking upsets.

First off, Villanova was taken out of the race for the sweet sixteen by St. Mary’s.  The final score was 68-75, and many note that Villanova seemed generally disinterested in the game at first.  St. Mary’s showed the country what they got and through some hefty hard teamwork, pulled off a big upset.

…but not as big of an upset as UNI pulled. Kansas, President Obama’s pick for the champion of the NCAA championship, was taken out of the tourney by UNI with a score of 67-69.

With Villanova and Kansas out of the running,  many brackets will definitely have to be redone.  Kansas was a big favorite for at least the final four.

Kentucky held strong against Wake Forest, and it appears as if John Calipari’s team has what it takes to make it all the way.  Everyone’s just holding their breath that Kentucky will succeed where Memphis failed at grabbing the championship title.

The 2010 ncaa bracket update and March Madness upsets will resonate through the rest of the tournament. It’s going to be an interesting time to say the very least.
