Graco High Chair Recall 2010 and Babies in Danger
March 19th, 2010
Graco High Chair Recall 2010 and Babies in Danger. There is yet another recall for baby products, and this time it is Graco high chairs marketed under the Harmony name that are the culprits.
These products can break and your baby can fall. So far injuries ranging from simple bruises and bumps to hairline fractures have been reported. However, a baby falling out of a high chair can even be fatal.
Owners of a Harmony high chair should stop using it immediately and call Graco to receive a repair kit for free in the mail. This kit will allow you to fix the problem with the chair.
Graco issued the following statement on their Web site:
“We take great pride in the quality and safety of our products, and as such, we are disappointed with the performance of the Harmony High Chair. We have taken significant steps to assess and enhance our internal product design review processes and we are continually committed to ensuring product safety.
In the case of Harmony, we have worked closely with the CPSC to identify and provide an appropriate fix. We are confident that we have come up with a solution that will improve the performance of this chair.
Graco is in full compliance with reporting this issue.”
Approximately 1.2 million high chairs are affected by the recall, and 35,000 of those are reported to be in Canada.
Parents should always stay near their children whenever they are placed inside a high chair. This way, if the chair appears unstable the child can be removed before an accident occurs.

I think graco made their product with baby safety, If there is danger graco should improve the design.
