iPad 2 Gains Popularity as Verizon iPhone Goes to Market
February 9th, 2011
Apple has a revolving door of great products. Since the end of the first quarter of 2010, everyone’s been speculating on when a Verizon iPhone would come to market. Apple had an exclusivity agreement with AT&T, and the market for the largest Cellular provider in the nation didn’t carry America’s favorite (and best selling) smartphone.
Apple lovers always want more and more. It’s not enough that the iPhone now has contract options. Now, there’s also speculation that last year’s slam-dunk product, the revolutionary iPad, is going to have a second generation soon.
Many common desires are a front and rear camera so that the tablet can communicate via FaceTime. In addition, there’s speculation that the new device will be thinner, lighter, and come with more memory than the first generation. Some speculate that there will be a retina display, but such a display on a large screen would take a ton of battery power.
Nevertheless, there will be a buzz surrounding the new redesign. Units will fly off the shelves, although I have to stay that I will likely hold on to my original iPad for a few years before trading it on…unless Apple comes up with something so irresistible that I just can’t help myself.
