CBI Tournament 2010 Bracket Another March Madness Basketball Schedule.  CBI stands for “College Basketball Invitational” and it’s the third tournament of March Madness.  Of course, there is a lot of hype and focus over the NIT Tournament and the NCAA Championships, but the CBI tournament is also an exciting time.

The CBI gets to invite teams after the NCAA and NIT tourneys make their selections.  For the most part, the CBI Tournament is full of smaller programs – but that’s okay.  Basketball is still basketball.

The tournament features 16 teams, and the first rounds start today and continue on March 17th.

FIRST ROUND – March 16

Saint Louis vs Indiana State 9:00 PM

Akron vs Green Bay 7:00 PM

George Washington vs VCU 7:00 PM

East Kentucky vs Charleston 7:00 PM

MARCH 17, 2010

Oregon State vs Boston University 10:00 PM

Morehead State vs Colorado State 9:00 PM

Hofstra vs IUPUI 7:00 PM

Princeton vs Duquenesque 7:00 PM

As the winners are crowned and the second rounds begin, we will update the schedule to reflect the most current pending matches.  If you need a printable bracket, click here.

The NCAA championship has toyed with the idea of growing to 96 teams.  If this happens, smaller tourneys like the CBI will likely fade away.
