NCAA Basketball Tournament 2010 Bracket and a Tourney Preview

March 15th, 2010

NCAA Basketball Tournament 2010 Bracket and a Tourney Preview.  March Madness is here, and the NCAA Tournament is the top-dog when it comes to tourneys.  The winners of the various college basketball conference championships will come together to play each other and find out what team is the best in the nation this year.

It’s easy for those not very familiar with basektball to get NCAA and NIT tournaments confused.  The NIT tournament features teams that didn’t make it into the NCAA championship – and is a separate event.  The bracket for the NIT Tournament can be found here.

The brackets for the 2010 NCAA Championship have been released.  Selection Sunday helped the conferences find out what final tournament of the season they would get to play in – if any.

There are 32 – yes 32 – games in the opening rounds of the tournament.  This is going to showcase some major matches that will be full of suspense.

IN the first rounds of the tournament, everyone is trying to make it into the Sweet 16.  Making it into this list is always an accomplishment.

So far, Kentucky is the #1 team in the nation.  During the sweet 16 they might face Michigan State, who beat them last year during the tournament.

The bracket is available.  In order to view it, you can click here.

What do you think? DO you think that Coach Calipari will bring the Kentucky team to an NCAA victory during his inaugural year at the University? OR, do you think that a seemingly underdog will go on to upset some of the best teams in the league and go on to win the title?
