iPad Pre Order a Big Gadget Hype Means Long Waits

March 13th, 2010

iPad Pre Order a Big Gadget Hype Means Long Waits.  Apple started pre-sales of their WiFi enabled iPad, allowing Mac lovers everywhere to get the newest and greatest gadget offered by the Cupertino, California based company.

Some reports indicate that Apple has experienced orders totalling 15,000 to 25,000 units per hour. These are just guesses, and the reports indicate that these are orders that the company has seen.  The orders could also include other products.

The starting price of an iPad is around $499, which is fairly affordable.

The estimates that are floating around sound quite high, and it could be a lot of hype surrounding the product.  However, there are also other reports which indicate that the company only has 300,000 units to sell at the April 3rd launch.  At any rate, those desiring an iPad should expect some delays getting their product.

If the presale estimates are true, then the product could sell out before it even hits the shelves.

Even though there are critics of the iPad, it’s gearing up to be a phenomenal success for the company. We’ve come to expect no less from Apple.

Later this year, there are rumors that HP is going to come out with their own touch screen tablet that runs Windows and includes a flash player.  Apple iPads and iPhones do not support flash, which is a common complaint by users.

If you plan on purchasing an iPad, we recommend that you do so fairly quickly. If not, you could face lengthy delays.

Keep your eyes peeled early next week.  If the sales order estimates are true, you can look for Apple to make a press release touting the success of their newest invention.
