US Open Tennis 2010 Schedule and Predictions

August 31st, 2010

The 2010 US Open tennis schedule advances, and we saw wins from tennis greats Roger Federer, Andy Roddick, and Venus Williams yesterday.  Rafael Nadal and Maria Sharapova take to the courts today.  Tennis fans are looking forward to see how the tournament progresses.

Many are curious how Roger Federer will do at the US Open. He’s lost the last two grand slams, and the winner has been Rafael Nadal.  Nadal is currently in play right now at the US Open.

Many are also curious about how Venus Williams will do in absence of her sister, Serena.  Serena not being at the tournament will open up the possibility of a grand slam win to another major contender such as Venus, or perhaps Maria Sharapova or Kim Clijsters.

Caroline Wozniacki is also in play right now, and she’s a major seed in this year’s tournament with Serena gone from the picture. The Danish tennis player is definitely one to keep an eye on.

Of course, there will be some upsets along the way, but this next couple of weeks should bring us some great matchups.  Once it’s over, we won’t see tennis greats until the Australian open in January.
