Google Apps Marketplace a Brilliant Feature for Web Developers

Google Apps Marketplace a Brilliant Feature for Web Developers.  Business owners may have more resources at their fingertips than ever before.  Google recently released Google Apps marketplace, which is a marketplace full of useful and fun applications that seamlessly integrate with a user’s Google account.

B2B software is typically hard to sell, even for a big player in the game.  Small developers have a really hard time reaching an audience for their products.  Some of these smaller businesses have really great ideas that would be useful to many companies.

Google realizes this and is going to change the landscape of B2B software, just as they have many other technology niches.

Developers should be really excited about Google’s new marketplace, as they are only requesting 20% of a developers price of the application.  The Android App store charges 30%, and Apple’s App store charges $100 annually to sell in the store.

Google also charges a $100 ONE-TIME fee to sell your applications at their store.

Some 25 million people are already using Google Apps.  The Google Apps marketplace allows third party users to create applications that integrate with those that 25 million people are already using.

Within the 25 million users, there are a range of different levels – from startups to Fortune 500 companies.
