Cisco CRS-3 Router a $90,000 Change to Computing

Cisco CRS-3 Router a $90,000 Change to Computing.  Cisco owns Linksys, and chances are if you have wireless internet connections you have one of their routers. For the most part, a router costs $50 or less.  Well, the Cisco CRS-3 is the newest router from the company, and it costs a wee bit more than just $50.

The new router costs $90,000 – but it can download every movie ever made in four seconds.  For the most part, the new creation is made for companies and not individual homes, but as technology progresses we might get to see this type of computing speed for personal use.

The Router is also created with the premise of allowing and providing video download.  Experts say that the invention would allow every man woman and child in China to make a phone call simultaneously.

Not only could Cisco’s router work on regular internet connections, but AT&T indicates that it could help with mobile data as well.  This could be great news to mobile users frustrated with slow download speeds and poor network coverage.

As more and more people plug into the net, the use of these super servers will become more and more useful.  Think of all the people that use NetFlix and other applications that require large amounts of data to be downloaded.  As this becomes more and more commonplace, we will be glad that companies like Cisco worked so proactively to give us the technology to make it all possible.
