Hawaii Earthquake Another Bizarre Quake Shakes Land

March 10th, 2010

Hawaii Earthquake  Another Bizarre Quake Shakes Land.  In January, the poor nation of Haiti had an earthquake. Everyone thought that was that until late February, when an earthquake hit off of Japan’s coast and then hours later a powerful quake hit the Latin American country of Chile.

The Chile earthquake spawned a tsunami in Hawaii, moved the earth off its axis, shortened our days and more.  Since then, quakes have been felt all over from multiple aftershocks in Latin America to light earthquakes felt in the United States.  Earlier this week there was also an earthquake in Turkey that killed at least 57 people.

On March 9., a 4.4 earthquake rattled Hawaii. The effects of the quake weren’t felt by many, as it took place almost 20 feet below the earth’s surface.  There were no casualties and no damage noted.

All of these recent quakes have many people scared.  Some have indicated that the weather changed, and some fear that the recent chain of events is indicative of the end of time.

Scientists reassured that the quakes were not enough to change weather patterns.  In order to do so, the earth would have to change its tilt.  This is not reported to have happened.

Everyone is waiting to see where the next earthquake will take place.  Do you think that the Hawaii quake was indictive of more to come, or do you think we are done with this type of natural disaster for now?
