Douglas Schantz Body Found? Body Found in Mississippi River Could Belong to Missing Oil Exec. Oil Executive Douglas Schantz traveled with his company to New Orleans to give a $25,000 gift to Tulane University where his daughter goes to school. Schantz is from Houston and was last seen at the Razzoo Bar at 2:00 am on Friday morning.
Everyone has been searching high and low for the missing man, and his family noted that it was out of the ordinary for him to go missing without a trace. Police suspect foul play, although none of his credit or ATM cards have been used since he was missing.
A Texas based search firm, Equusearch, joined in the efforts to locate Schantz. They also were involved in the search for Natalie Holloway and other high profile missing persons cases.
So far, a body has come up in the Mississippi River near the area where Schantz was last seen. At this time, there’s no word over whether or not the body belongs to the missing oil executive. His brother is said to be assisting authorities with identification of the body.
Everyone is hoping that the body found doesn’t belong to the missing executive. He’s a loyal family man and is well respected in his community. He is the president of Sequent Energy Management, which is based out of Houston.
