Amber DuBois Case and Angry Parents, Memorial Service, and Possible Link to Chelsea King Case

March 8th, 2010

Amber DuBois Case and Angry Parents, Memorial Service, and Possible Link to Chelsea King Case.  Fourteen year old Amber DuBois went missing when she was walking to school alone one day.  For over a year, no one seen or heard from the young girl.  When the case went cold, everyone feared the worst – that somehow the young teenager had been abducted or killed.

Unfortunately, some 13 months later we found out that that is indeed what happened.  In the wake of the Chelsea King case, investigators re-opened Amber Dubois’s case in hopes of finding a connection between King’s killer and Amber’s killer.

Amber’s parents are upset with an investigator who was working with their daughter’s case. Bill Garcia is a private investigator that the family hired last year in connection with their daughter’s disappearance. He has spoken out to the press on behalf of the family, and the parents are livid as they haven’t given him permission to speak about the case.

Garcia allegedly told reporters that the tip leading to Amber’s remains didn’t come from John Albert Gardner III.  Gardner is the alleged killer of Chelsea King, a 17 year old that went missing while running on February 25th.  Some believe that Gardner is responsible for the deaths of both young girls.

Tonight, a memorial service is going to be held at the Escondido High School for Amber DuBois.  It starts at 6:30 and is expected to have a big turnout.
