Kate Plus 8 Season Premiere – Kate and Kids New Show 2010.  Kate Gosselin, the single mother of eight children previously had a show on TLC with her ex husband, but now that they are divorced she’s going at it on her own.  Kate Plus 8 premiered last night and everyone got to see the kids for the first time in nearly a year.

It’s hard to believe that the sextuplets are already six years old.  This year, Kate decided to take them to Discovery Cove for their birthday – what a treat.

As any parent knows, travels with one kid is hard; traveling with eight kids is downright dramatic – and that’s what made the show.  Seeing Kate and her brood travel by air all the way to Orlando, and then seeing how the kids acted when they had activities scheduled during their normal nap time made the show very interesting.

One thing that was noticed by many during the season premiere was that Kate seemed to be in the mood for marketing.  There were several ads run during the show – a sign that the show was expected to have high ratings – plus Kate threw in some sales pitches as well. Discovery Cove, however, sold itself.

Now that Kate Plus 8 is back, we can expect to see Kate and the brood every week – something that Gosselin fans have been hoping for.
