EW Lost Finale Explanation – Lost Series Finale Explained?

May 25th, 2010

EW Lost Finale Explanation – Lost Series Finale Explained?  Lost has been a very popular series for quite some time, and there are many who are devastated that it is over.  The Series finale aired Sunday night, and there are many – even those who watched the entire show run who just don’t know what to think of the show.

EW has an explanation to the series finale which may or may not comfort the most confused of Lost fans. EW suggests that the characters on Lost were really in some sort of purgatory, and once they resolved their issues they could move on – meaning move on into heaven.

The purgatory and moving on had to do with the scene where Jack entered a church and finds his dad’s empty coffin.  His dad appears to him, and tells him that everything that happened to him to that point had been real. So Jack now realized that he was dead.  Eventually, Christian opens the front doors to the church and a bright light shines through.

Whether or not you agree with the EW explanation of the Lost series finale, there is one thing that is true – it was confusing and it did not really answer any questions just flat out. However, that could be a good thing. Who knows maybe one day there will be a Lost feature film.
