Tier 5 Unemployment Benefits Extension 2010 – Another Day, Another Bill to Pay without Extension.  The tier 5 benefits extension is likely on the back burner of many politicians because the April Jobs report indicated that the economy is getting better.  Still yet, we look around where we all live and we don’t see things getting much better at all.

Those who are on tiers 1-4 of unemployment had better hope that something is passed in the next couple of weeks to extend unemployment to the end of the year.  If that doesn’t occur, it won’t only be those that need the Tier 5 benefits that will be curious as to what to do next.

The only thing that we can suggest to everyone is to keep in contact with your Senators and Congressmen.  After all, it’s up to them to ensure that legislation gets passed that will save many homes, families, and start making America better again.

In addition, don’t forget that a tier 5 extension wouldn’t benefit EVERYONE who has exhausted their benefits – only those that live in states that would become eligible for the tier would benefit.  These states are those who have been hit hardest by the economic downturn.
